Terms of use

It's a Numbers Game is a free job application tracker operated by Shapes.IO. By creating an account you agree to what follows. It's short because the service is small.

What you get

An account, a board to track job applications, a profile for autofill, and a browser extension to capture postings. It is free, with no paid tier, no trial, and no payment details collected anywhere. If that ever changes, existing accounts will be told before it does.

What we ask of you

  • You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password to yourself.
  • One person per account. Don't share logins or extension tokens.
  • Store your own job-search information. Don't upload other people's personal data, or anything you don't have the right to hold.
  • Don't attack the service — no scraping, no automated hammering of the API, no attempts to reach another account's data, no using it to send mail to people who didn't ask for it.
  • You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Your content is yours

The applications, notes and profile details you enter belong to you. We claim no ownership and no licence beyond what's needed to store them and show them back to you. See the privacy policy for who processes them along the way — including how resume imports use a third-party AI model.

Availability

This is a small, free service run by a small operation. There is no uptime guarantee and no support commitment. It may go down, be taken offline for maintenance, or change without notice. Keep your own copy of anything you would be upset to lose — a job search is not a good thing to have riding on one free tool, including this one.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from your profile page; it takes effect immediately. We may suspend or remove an account that's attacking the service or using it to harm someone else. If the service is ever shut down entirely, we'll give reasonable notice by email so you can export your data.

Liability

The service is provided as-is, with no warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Shapes.IOisn't liable for lost data, missed opportunities, or any indirect losses arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability that legally can't be limited.

Governing law

The operating entity and governing law for this service are not yet finalised, and stating a jurisdiction we haven't settled on would be worse than leaving it open. This section will be completed before the service is promoted publicly.
